This is my second post to the forums, and I must do it with a bit of surprise. Years ago I found an 1864 Canadian bank token in the garden at home. One of those random just walked by at the right time deals because it was laying on the top after tilling the garden. I have been out detecting around the house about every day now for over a week. Found a lot of scrap tin and copper. Yesterday I hit another piece of metal, turned out to be an old 8 inch Jamesway farm supplier sign, rough, but could still read it. Went out today, decided to try my luck where I grabbed that bank token. Came across an old bullet, then 5 minutes later an old copper coin. Still cleaning but I have cleaned enough to notice, it is an 1867 2 cent coin. First 2 cent I have found, and right at home!
