Digging in the cold winds and snow flurries :)

Saturday and Sunday have been windy here along Lake Ontario in NY this weekend with lake effect snow squalls and quite the chill in the air so yesterday I stayed in but today with some late morning sunshine I figured I'd give it a shot and dressed for the weather...

A couple of hunters came up to the barns, thought I was trapping and inquired of my doings. No problem there as they were heading into the woods and over the hill see in this picture taken when I first got there today. The house was behind the barns and there's tons of trash and corn stalk stubble.

I got these two things, anyone know what they are? I'll probably post it in "whats it?" later...


Finally before heading home, I got my old coin for the day! A nice 1890 IH Cent, came out pretty good along with a Waterbury gilted button and a old cheap copper ring.

Looks a little chilly but the finds made it worth it...

Nice mix of finds....there's no scale on what I think is probably a hat badge....probably Canadian or British based on the medieval French script and crown.
