Hey Everyone! I received MD a few weeks ago, but the weather has not been the best for me to go out. Tomorrow it's suppose to be really nice, so I am going to hunt my dad's property where a 2 room school house use to sit. Not sure what year it was built, but it caught fire (we believe arson) in the early 90's and burned down. My dad rents the land now to a local farmer (dad quit farming about 15 years ago but the land belonged to his dad so he has no interest in selling) and they rotate crops every year. I hope I am able to find something there!!

Anyway, I am looking for suggestions as far as a digging tool. I am 39/F who was on dialysis for 16 months & received a kidney transplant in 2007, so I don't have a great deal of strength in my arms. But I don't want that to hinder me from going. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks so much!!

Teresa

Look up the "Treasure Wise T-12" digger. Small, handheld digger, stainless steel, very strong, and not very expensive.

Jason is right about Treasure Wise Diggers they have worked for 23 years for me T 10,12,14

Young people also make good digging tools but some can be expensive

I already have a young person, he is 9, autistic and doesn't like to dig. But thanks for the suggestion Joe Hunter!

Predator tools makes some good shovels and diggers. I tend to be hard on my stuff so I need something indestructible, and easy on my back and legs. Good Luck.

I was told to start with the basics, a good old army shovel...works just fine. I have added a Lesche left-handed (for a righty...makes more sense) digger, and some kneepads.
The MD and a pointer of some kind...don't need any 'special kits'.
