When you start talking about "digging " in Plainfield , people tend to get a little nervous.....after all ....Plainfield is the home of the Notorious graverobber Ed Gein....but ....They have now dug up all the streets of Plainfield and its worth the drive if you can get there over the next couple of weeks....the sidewalks, main road in and several blocks are under construction.
I was able to spend some time there this past week doing a research job and was able to hunt a little. People were great and welcomed me into their homes and yards .....just dont bring up the subject of Ed Gein....they are really tired of it.
I also took a ride to the dirt lane where the Gein farmhouse stood and the cemetery...heard they were selling Gein Graveyard dirt for 27k on ebay

Edward Gein inspired several movies, including "Psycho", "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", cult film "Deranged", and the character Buffalo Bill in Thomas Harris's book and movie "The Silence of the Lambs".

Gein was a strange puppy. Looks like a good place to search, but if you dig up any bones, we don't wanna seem them. ;D

So any gold fillings yet Gypsy? Sounds interesting thanks for the post.
