All of my half dollar veins are tapped out! I still pick up whatever loose and CWRs that I can find. I am finding 3-4 40%ers a month.

My new goal is 2-3 dime boxes a day, 6 days a week. Hopefully I will find 15-20 silver dimes a week.

So far:
Sunday
Box #1 - 2 FDRs
Box #2 - 3 FDRs
Monday
Box #1 skunk
Box #2 1 FDR
Tuesday
Box #1 4 FDRs and 1x1968 Canadian (50% Ag)
Box #2 1 FDR
Box #3 1 Merc (1944)
Wed
Box #1 skunk
Box #2 skunk
Thurs
Box #1 shunk
Box #2 2 FDRs
Box #3 shunk

Totals: 14 US silver dimes and one 50% Canadian dime

Last week I bought 500 silver roosies from a local guy for $1000
way better than spending all that time and effort CRH if you can
find the right connections. No more lugging boxes, searching skunk
boxes or arguing with bank personnel.

Bought 30 war nickels for $52.50 (3.23 under spot) yesterday. I agree that was a lot easier than finding one war nickel out of 110 rolls over the past two weeks... But the hunt is still fun 8-)

Any score under spot is what this is all about, right?
I agree, the hunt can be very fun, even addictive. The local tellers still call me when someone dumps
halves and I still have to pick them up. It has been exciting coin roll hunting but I now get more fun,
or should I say more satisfaction out of finding locals who want to get rid of their stash. I find my stack is growing much faster and my time is better spent!

I have blogged it many times on this site: If your main goal is to gather as much silver as possible. Your best bet is a side job or some overtime at your regular job to generate cash and then find a source to buy silver at or below spot. Coin roll hunting is about the hunt!!!

Not bad.. better average than 1 dime per box.. The past couple dime orders have been skunks all the way through until the last box which literally evened out my average.
