All of my half dollar veins are tapped out! I still pick up whatever loose and CWRs that I can find. I am finding 3-4 40%ers a month.

My new goal is 2-3 dime boxes a day, 6 days a week. Hopefully I will find 15-20 silver dimes a week.

So far:
Sunday
Box #1 - 2 FDRs
Box #2 - 3 FDRs
Monday
Box #1 skunk
Box #2 1 FDR
Tuesday
Box #1 4 FDRs and 1x1968 Canadian (50% Ag)
Box #2 1 FDR
Box #3 1 Merc (1944)
Wed
Box #1 skunk
Box #2 skunk
Thurs
Box #1 shunk
Box #2 2 FDRs
Box #3 shunk

Totals: 14 US silver dimes and one 50% Canadian dime

Dumped my halves today and decided to try some CWR dimes. I picked up $75 in Dimes and $3 in Loose Halves.

Found a 1976 Proof in the loose halves. Would have liked to find another date since I already have a 76 proof.

Now to the most important part of this post...I found one 1959 D! My first silver dime find! Boy those silver dimes do stick out amongst the clad. Today is a good day.

I have never found a silver dime in a roll, but found many from coinstar and one from teller (recongnized it when she was sorting them).

Went to the bank to pick up rolls of dimes. Asked for $200. Teller gave me $105 in BWR and $95 in CWR. Well it turned out that the BWRs were all uncirculated 2012s :BangHead:

The CWRs were all skunks. Found 4 Canadian dimes so I'm out $0.40. :(

Those Canadian Dimes are such teases. Thought I scored seeing those silver rims. My hopes were quickly dashed.

I already got that expirienced to the point when I can differentiate between steel/nickel edge and silver edge. The silver ones are more lighter in their hue.

Shouldn't the title of the thread by changed to "Coin Log" or something like that because it is not just dime searching.

One box I opened up this week had two mercs in a single roll. That was the only silver in the box. I actually missed one of the mercs but my good ears heard the silver and I looked down and there was a second one. Glad I heard it!

i have an ear for silver, but i have to admit, i cannot hear a silver dime drop amongst other dimes... too little of a pitch difference for me...

some of those dirty dime edges are pretty tricky... I pulled an AU 1955-S roosie back in march before all the 2012 dimes, the coin ws really toned on the front and the edges, i almost missed it- the front had a purple/orange tone to it and the back was blazing white.
My eyes are better than my ears. I can't say I have ever heard silver that I didn't see.
