I was detecting the woods around one of my cities parks. when i came across a pile of dirt that had been dumped on the edge of the woods. so i scanned the side of the pile and found a 1865 2 cent piece ,i really didnt know what it was at first and it was almost dark so i went home to check it out.needless to say i went back the next day and found a few other things including a 1906 v nickel and i noticed pieces of flint and picked up these points while digging.all this stuff came out of that dirt pile including some rusted pieces and pieces of pottery and glass.so now i always check that obscure pile of dirt.HH

WOW! Good eye, WTG! Wonder where the pile of dirt came from to begin with?

Great finds. Now you have to wonder where the dirt came from.

WOW! Love those arrow heads.... You should find out where that dirt came from and bring a detector! 186- and 1906 ain't bad! Wherever it came from it was an old site, i'm sure you could find out by going to town hall or even asking a construction worker when they show up to move it again. Keep at that pile!

Nice finds, love the arrowheads jsu. If you ask where the dirt came from, don't tell them why
you want to know ;D

Very well done. Great finds. Congrats.
That state of Missouri sure has a LOT of nice stuff buried I've noticed.

Nice job, lesson learned.

Once I wanted to detect a site where they were tearing this old factory building down. No they said. They scraped the dirt off and took it to a site the city uses to dump leaves and other organic stuff. I checked with the city and they said go ahead. The dirt was all spread out nice and smooth. I found several nice old coins in that dirt. Follow the dirt.
