I went to a bank today and they said they had $300 in halves so I was excited. When I got them I saw that they were MWR that had been opened on one end and re-wrapped. Obvious dumps. Then I went to a bank I have had luck at in the past and they only had $80 worth. I got 2 40% out of those. 1967 and 1968-D.
I also picked up a box of pennies at the next bank and placed orders for 2 boxes of halves. I am picking up steam in the volume department and am happy with the days results. One of the tellers also took my name and number and said she would call me if anyone brought in rolled coin, halves, silver dollars, anything unusual. Important to build relationships; we will see what this one yields. HH!
