ok, I'm not up on this kind of artifacts, I mostly know the Old Copper Culture, so what were these used for then?

that is an impressive collection, i love the one with lines. these were used for alot of different games, like Chunkee. many are called Chunkee stones. Someone would roll the disk in an open space, and spears would be thrown at the rolling disk to try to hit it. another version i have heard is that they would throw the spears where they thought the disk would stop and the closest spear to the disk won.

Nice Discoidals jmfg222. I don't find a lot of the larger ones in my area, but we do find quite a few of the smaller Stone and Pottery Discs.

I sure do have a soft spot for discoidals, more the Cahokia type though. I found one in 08 in a creek, but it was only a biscuit type, but not a real bad example.
