Do you love your Cibola?

I love mine and I dont even have one yet. But I will soon,,,Very soon,,,, By talking to people that have them ,I got's to have one my self. :coffee2:

They are great in soil to moderate soil but if the soil has heavy minerlization the do not penetrate very deep.

Agree with the above I love mine! It is very good in seeded compition hunts. And when just out hunting .... well Jeff used it a few times since it did deeper than his Fisher. But if it is heavy mineral it is hard to discrimintae out the trash for me, like on the sidewalk digs (they tore out part of them here on the main street). and I didn't do to well there! But Tesoro is so good we now have 3 of them !

I loved mine while I had it, thought that I really needed a gb machine but later realized that I didn't. Awesome, powerful simple machine, thinking abt selling my bandido to get one, downgrade i guess but so what.

If ya love a machine you love it, It just depends on what works well for you! Yea Cibola! :hello2:

I don't understand are you saying stay away from Tesoro if you want to hunt were they tear up side walks and roads for they don't work for that type of hunting??

That is the first i heard that Tesoro detectors would not work in tore up side walks and roads . I'm sorry but i don't believe that.

Well it did not do good on them! And the other 2 tesoros did. It just might be mine needs to go back to the factory and get re done ? Don't know but by this summer when (if) they do the other section I plan on finding out! :icon_sunny:

I was thinking of getting one but after reading here not deep can not use in construction i guess that leaves the Cibola out don't want any thing like that. Don't sound like a good detector at all why do people buy it?

I think you had got an opinion. I have no troubles anywhere in the 3 states I primarily hunt with my Silver Umax which has pre set ground balance. The Cibola is hotter and will go deeper. If your soil is decent, then you should have no trouble. Or if you don't feel right about it, the Vaquero has manual ground balance and is a very nice detector with the ability to go deep. Good luck

You MIS understood !! I would NOT trade my Cibola for anything! >:(

I think if I asked this question on the V, this thread would have been loaded with praise and although I appreciate everyones efforts and thank you from the comments I have gone with my original analysis and have decided to get the V.
I was just thinking of saving $80 and maybe using that $ to buy a clean sweep for it....but I just may try that set-up on the V anyways.
Im sure the C is a fine machine but overall and for the long term I feel comfortabler (is that a word) with my decision, thanks everyone!HH :headbang:

I am sure you will be happy with the V. You cannot go wrong, as that is a very good all around detector. Congrats! :icon_thumright:

If you don't mind re-ground balancing every few minutes, the Vaquero is a great detector. Exactly like the Cibola in every other way.

In fact, the Cibola might even be better! You can super tune it to get even better depth.

The coin is still flipping in the air on the Deleon, lol.

The V super tunes as well for more depth and you do not have to re-balance every few minutes. I check ground balance regular and rarely have to change it. I also believe that keeping the detector balance as fine tuned, you may gain more depth and if it is a little off, you can still get good depth and performance. jersey devl will do well with the V. From what I have read, the Cibola is a very good detector as well, but I have the experience with the V.

You can also supertune the Vaquero.

I have both and the V is a better choice with the manual ground balance. :headbang:

Just got my Vaquero in the mail today from Ron at Windy City Detectors :icon_thumleft:, super great guy...had it at my door in less than 24 hours! Now I just need a thaw! :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:
