Do you make your own display cases?

You clould make a heckofalotta cases with the wood from a barn!

I have used heart pine left over from a job. Mostly, I buy inexpensive ones from Hobby-Lobby when they have the 50% off sales. I am talking about the display frames, not curio cabinets.

I bought my display case from a company from Texas.Well built, great quality and really not all that expensive.I cant remember the name off hand but if your interested I can look for the sales receipt.Just pm me.

I save all my good finds and make shadow boxes out of them.
I go to the swap meet and buy those old mass marketed shadow boxes
for as cheap as I can get them. A couple of bucks or so.
When I see them at garage sales I also buy them.
Then, I rip out the insides, repaint the inside of the box black and
glue in a piece of colored felt from Michael's (Arts and Crafts store).
They sell sheets of felt in all colors.
Then I glue in or use silicone seal to past these to the felt.
You can also paint small pieces of wood black and then glue or silicone seal something
to them to make them stand out from the background.
Here's a pic of one of them of some of my finds from England.

that is one awesome display!

Thanks! I've made a few. I have a few more planned that I haven't gotten to yet.
They are really a fun way to put your finds on display.
