Completely agree. This is my only point. I can't see how anyone rational could disagree with this.
AGREE.

Well . . . who are you replying to? Why tell folks to go back to a post YOU wrote?
Are you telling us YOUR doctor missed these?![]()
OK; Indicators of concern for SUICIDAL IDEATIONS (aka "symptoms") that doctors/psychologists use (per TRAINING & EXPERIENCE)... Hopelessness, Anhedonia, Insomnia, Depression, SEVERE Anxiety (ANGST), Impaired Concentration, Psychomotor Agitation, Panic Attack, Severe Remorse, VERBALIZATIONS of INTENT to kill oneself or OTHERS, DEATH WISH (can't kill myself, so I'll just let others kill me); SHOULD be enough right there... HA!

NOPE! Wanna show what doctors/psychologists use when expressed SUICIDE IDEATIONS result in ppl being asked about GUNS! YOU underlined YOUR, so I guess you are replying to ME... trying to "pick a FIGHT? BRING IT ON!
Too bad this guy wasnt asked if he is depressed or owns guns. Utah father denied bail for killing 5-month-old with rifle | Fox News I really dont understand what the big deal is, doctors ask if you drink...drinking is legal. The thing I find funny is everyone is paranoid about the government knowing they have guns but they are openly posting about them on a public forum. Even if it is a privately owned forum , if they want your names they will get them. Patriot Act? So have fun hiding your guns from the Doctors but please feel free to keep posting about them on here.
ONLY if you "voiced" threats of harm to YOURSELF or OTHERS, would GP/PCP ask about GUNS. It would THEN, become a "health issue"...
That is not true. Apparently you have been misinformed.
As far back as 2011, the gun question has been part of the admission questionnaire for any federally funded clinic . . . not just psychiatric hospital but even for General Practice in local clinics.
I live so far out in the country that I used to be a paying customer at a nearby clinic for convenience. I stopped going when they misdiagnosed toenail fungus and wanted to cut the nails on my big toe from top to bottom to cure it.
VERY different from CIVILIAN DOC OFFICE.OUCH! Sounds more like an ingrown toenail (had THAT before...). Did VA Clinic Doc ask about GUNS...?
why didn't a retired Marine Corp Colonel go to the VA hospital?![]()
Dave I see retired military at Dr offices quite often, they are able to get in and out quickly vs waiting all day at va hospital...
