Does Anyone Enjoy Model Rocketry?

Actually nothing, should probably be in general discussion but it,s not hurting anything.
And it IS in general discussion!
I found a bunch of model rockets at a garage sale so... I will be getting back in to them. We had an actual model rocketry class in 8th grade, build from scratch, multi engine etc, taught by the science teacher.

I moved it to the General Discussion when I found it in the wrong forum.

My Son and I were building those ESTES rockets 20 years ago. We thought it would be cool to have a night launch, ... to be able to 'see' the exhaust flames as it went up. Anyway, ... 4 - 3 - 2- 1, ... liftoff. Oh, it flew alright. We didn't see a thing, ... wooooosssshhhhhh!

When I was a kid, I was into it BIG time. Haven't messed with them in more than 40 years. If my wife talks me into moving to Mexico when we retire, I might get back into it since I will have to leave my guns behind.:laughing7:

I built a few from kits some 50 years back. I believe they used Estes
engines. Had a ball with 'em, but other things in life took over and I
gave it up after a couple years.

Might be fun to get back into, and I bet my grandsons would love
to be involved..:icon_thumright:

I find it very enjoyable, but it can get a little expensive.
