I really enjoy launching model rockets. Do any other members enjoy that?

I like to trade off rocketery and u-control, control line model airplanes.

Used to love launching rockets as a kid. But then I was shut off because I started to get pretty creative with those estee’s engines. Never got back into it as an adult.

Back when my son was a kid we got into it pretty heavily,but kind of eased out of as he got older. Enjoyed it.

I found a bunch of model rockets at a garage sale so... I will be getting back in to them. We had an actual model rocketry class in 8th grade, build from scratch, multi engine etc, taught by the science teacher.

used to love to get that Estes catalog in the mail, 50 years ago.
couldn't afford any of them, but liked to look.

My Son and I were building those ESTES rockets 20 years ago. We thought it would be cool to have a night launch, ... to be able to 'see' the exhaust flames as it went up. Anyway, ... 4 - 3 - 2- 1, ... liftoff. Oh, it flew alright. We didn't see a thing, ... wooooosssshhhhhh!

When I was a kid, I was into it BIG time. Haven't messed with them in more than 40 years. If my wife talks me into moving to Mexico when we retire, I might get back into it since I will have to leave my guns behind.

Yes that is were I buy mine.

I built a few from kits some 50 years back. I believe they used Estes
engines. Had a ball with 'em, but other things in life took over and I
gave it up after a couple years.

Might be fun to get back into, and I bet my grandsons would love
to be involved..

I find it very enjoyable, but it can get a little expensive.
