Found what I thought was an antler billet type tool, but now I think it was a deer leg bone as it was hollow. My question is this: Can a bone tool survive a long time in the ground? This one looks almost partly fossilized! It appears to have been a type of tool and it was found in a farm field on a known site. Just not sure how long a bone could last in Wisconsin weather conditions. Could be nothing sure...but the one end looks like it was cut flush so I just don't know. Mystery.
