Does anyone know what type metal detector this is

A friend of mine has this detector and we have no idea what it is or how much its worth. I was hoping someone out here might know. Thanks in advance. Will

I do not think I have every seen that model, is there any numbers or writing on the unit anywhere that you can put on there. Look it over and see as that may help us ID this .

just that kw1001 that's inside the case. I'm looking forward to comparing it to the aquapulse and minelab. It might be a home-built for all I know, but it looks pretty professional to me.

Looks like a very well homemade pulse to me, reminds me of a Garrett Seahunter.

You can see the connectors for the coil and vibrator are the same ones minelabs use. Its not homemade per say. Its most likely made by a manufacturer of detectors as a prototype. That would explain the lack of name on the unit. Start by looking up any markings on it and emailing manufacturers. Id start with minelab, since the connecters are theirs. HH -Joe

It's a Nautilus. 25 Years or so ago it was the best detector you could buy. You had to build it using a Garrett sea hunter case.They sold for around $2500.They went very deep. They are like today's Orca detectors,very deep and very expensive.

This one is made by,one of the crew member of Mel Fisher,at Key West.
KW=Key West.They was selling this detectors at the museum of KW and Sebastien.The price was 800$.
It is a PI unit base on Erick Foster machines.The box is from under water camera made by Ikelite.

I got this coil (with some other stuff), which looks very similar to Hangingfor8's KW 1001 coil, but don't know from what detector it is:
