Could'nt work out why this lump of coral (in 2 ft of water) at the beach kept "hitting"?

brought it home and it started to fall apart in my bag - WOW!!!

just need to identify them and work out how to save / clean them

any ideas

This post is in response to some earlier posts I've read in this thread:
I believe we need to show this man some respect! He is no different than any one of us, in that we could be in the same situation he is in at any given time. We share the same hobby, right? We are after the same thing, right? It's possible. For those who were rude, disrespectful and quick to judge, I would be ashamed. Are we adults, or children? I realize this is not going to win me a popularity contest, and perhaps even target me for the same treatment the OP is up against, but I really don't care. It takes more time to stop on the tread, type a "tantrum" and make a fool of yourself than it would to bypass it and make everyone else, including the original OP, happy. And for the OP: Dude, keep doing what you're doing! Congratulations! Great work! I, as well as many others, will continue to follow you're thread but we also understand that you have to take your time and do things properly. Focus on the people who got your back, and forget the other ones. You have the find of a lifetime! Enjoy it!!

I would just say WOW. My first visit to this site and this is the first thread I have read, WOW. I have had metal detectors for 30 years and not found anything worthwhile. I am scuba cert and have an u/w metal detector.

Ace, I'm with you. I mentioned it earlier. Didn't win me any pop contest either. All I got was more rudeness.....and don't "knock" on certain people's door. Didn't realize a general post on here was knocking on an individual's door. As far as actually being ashamed of the tone of their posts.....don't see it happening. I love this site, but I have to disagree with you, we are not all the same. Maybe it's how you're raised by your mother.

I agree with you both 100%. If I had to guess he's probably working on the legal end of his amazing find. From what I've read the legal end of documenting and claiming a ship wreck of any kind is a pain in the back side. Its no question in my mind he's still working hard on his find. If he wants to share the rest with us one day we would be happy to see it. If he chooses not to display the rest of his finds I'm very pleased he shared what he has with us.

I deal with adults being children everyday I go to work. I enjoy spending time with my little boy, metal detecting, hunting, and fishing in my off time as well as reading and looking at everyone's finds on Tnet. The few that have chimed in on this mans glory and trashed a great post with ridiculous uncalled for for words that may be *#$+)($#@ out but we all still can read between the lines are just plain rude and should be band from this site indefinitely.

I just want to know what he finds lol. I live in the middle of america but my gfs parents have a vacation house in Florida and she's scuba certified but I don't know how to swim!

I love watching scuba on TV.....but recently it was explained to me in about 4-1/2 ft. of water that I was not top of the food chain.
