Location - Russia, its not a rock but not iron also so its difficult to say. We tried to hit the hammer on it but this sphere so strong and didnt broke at all!

Its only looks like this but when u touch it and twist it you can see that it dosent glued, it seems like this already was making with centre line

Also when you put it on the table sphere shakes for 10-15 senonds maybe it means that something wrong with centre of gravity

The picture of it in two halves sure looks like stone to me. Wish I could help, but have no idea what it might be. I looked up "Klerksdorp sphere" and I think that might be
