Nice I love finding dog tags. Send oddcoins a PM as he catalogs tags by town for a book

Oh yeah ~ cool find! Dog tags are my favorite treasure to dig!

The Maryland County issued tags are very well documented already. The oldest known tag from Howard Co. is dated 1915

Oddcoins......do you catalog the different styles as they change over the years or just the oldest tag? Thanks.

NIce Save WT! I always like the dated treasures! And being local really lights my interest!

Love finding older dog tags, Sweet find!!

Thanks everyone for the kudos. When I first saw it, the tag was face down and I figured, "eh, just another piece of junk". It pays to examine your finds closely!

I love those old dogtags

Awesome dog tag! I dug an older one last week too... it's always fun to rub off the dirt and see the word "DOG". Great dig!
