So my bank teller TJ told me about an 1889 dollar coin someone had spent at his till awhile back as I was coin mining...
He had kept it because of its age and rarity...he always asks about what coins I find and so I was very interested in his find....I told him if he ever wanted to sell it I'd give him a dollar for it...I remember the other tellers burst out laughing when I said that...anyway today I went in to exchange quarters for more quarters and he brought his coin out and said "I'll give this to you for a dollar"....and explained it will just sit in the jar at his desk...I told him I usually like to collect only things I find and said if he ever wants it back to let me know...but I relented and gave him 4 quarters....I must say that the tellers and security at this bank in Seattle are exceptionally nice...

Offers like that never seem to come my way...Good for you!

Good trade and it's in great condition!

That's an Awesome Score!!! Congrats!!!

I might be inclined to give that generous teller a gift card to a local restaurant ! Very nice Morgan dollar !

Hunt, it was nice of him...he said if I ever score big on a coin to share some of the wealth with him...I would love to reciprocate...

Good idea Argentium...I'll need to pick his coworker's brains and find out where he likes to eat...

I always find a gift of a half dozen muffins or pastries is a nice way to thank property owners for their permission to hunt... this will have a similar effect.

It was very generous gift by the bank teller,
Dave

Now that's a great deal. Nice looking coin.
