Thank you for posting this therby making people aware of this great organization.

We are saving out tabs now, as well as making some donations. We have donated a little cash, but most of the people staying where we stayed have preemie babies, so we donated our breast pump and some other baby stuff. We don't have a lot, but we are trying to give back where we can.

Thank you for posting this therby making people aware of this great organization.

Wanted to pass this along to you.

I know my in laws save the tabs from their pop cans. They would give them to my niece, but she no longer needs them, it was for her school. They still continued to save the tabs. When I was up there today I asked my FIL what they do with the tabs. He told me that they give to so and so, an organization, not a charity though. I told him about the RMH and how I am saving the tabs for them and explained what RMH does to help people with sick kids. He told me that he has a coffee can full of tabs and another almost full and that he will start giving them to me to give to RMH.

Wow, that's great Sue! Really got a jump on the gun now. Glad ya got them in on it. What was your niece's school saving them for? Just a fund raiser or something?

I think fundraiser, but not 100% sure. I also going to talk to other family members and ask them to save the tabs too. Would be nice to send in a check from the tabs once a year from our family to RMH.

Others had convinced me it was urban legend and my 5gal bucket of tabs went in with the loomies about a year or so ago.... darn!

'Somebody' just HAS to clean up my stuff, and does it without telling me.
Won't let it happen again.

Oh man, that's too bad! When you say "Somebody" has to clean up your stuff......are ya referring to the wife maybe? :icon_queen:

Chris gets awfully upset when I do that very thing.......LOL

But now ya know it is really true about the pulltabs!

Known about this for many years and at one time w had a huge collection process for these where I worked. As time and company moves went on stopped doing so. then the wife went to work at Easter Seals and one day while helping clear a storage room I saw quite a few jugs of tabs and so we asked where they sent them, though we figured it was RMH. Sure enough so we went at again with digs and home savings.

One of the easiest ways to help give something to some people, even ones we know from the forum it appears.

Neighbors son had a kidney transplant. Took a long time and they were put up at RMH in the valley.
Had only good things to say about it.
I had heard the pull-tab urban legend thing too. Will have to check it out.
