Not sure if I'm in the correct thread as I know its a doorknob. I was wondering if any doorknob people could help date and give any info on knob. It is 2 1/4" in diameter. thanks in advance.

Google "Eastlake Doorknob" you'll see a lot of reproduction pieces, but yours is period. It was the style of decor during the last quarter of the 19th century.

It looks like it could be an Eastlake which would date it to the 1880s and 1890s.

When I was a kid we had an old dodge pickup truck with floor shift and it had an aftermarket shift knob on it that very much looked like the picture. Original knob broke off one very cold morning.
