neat finds ...all a lot of fun for sure...neat pics too

Sweet. Love that Skeleton key too. :icon_thumright:

that skeleton key is awesome! Looks like it is going to be a fun place to hunt. hit it hard.

Two questions: Was the invincible watch really invincible and why would 21 coins be in one hole? Could they have been in a container and the contained rotted away? No one would just dig a hole and drop their coins in, would they? Can someone give me a little history on people burying their money, etc? Could that be a new topic? Sorry if this is off track, I'm absolutley amazed at what you all find... The guns are eery... murder weapons? My mind is reeling...

...Bev...the guns are toy cap pistols...probably from the late 1940's or 1950's..........the 21 coins in one hole is a kid's cache.....I have found several myself......kid's bury all kinds of stuff.......LOL.....Joe

Ahh, I get it now. I was obviously thinking too hard! The guns were toys? See how I am about thinking too hard?

I like the cap guns, especially since I had the same experience about 5 yrs. ago. I was detecting inside an old barn, & over towards one corner I dug 2 cap guns, from the same hole.

So very true. A couple of months ago, while searching a friend's back yard, I found 11 wheaties and a Bay Area Transit token all neatly stacked and buried about 5 inches deep. Kids can be a trip. :laughing9:

An excellent haul !! Keep it up !! MaineRelic.
