Got a new permission today, 1852 farm. It's been hit before but, we had nothing better.
We hit the yard finding some wheats, the oldest a 1919. Things were slow then I found a nice flat button, no shank. It was in good shape and I could see some writing on the back. I'll never know what it said, lost it again somewhere. Lol
Then I got a small 85 hit on the AT Pro thinking maybe old copper. Flipped a plug and had what looked like a large coin, too big to be an old copper. Wiped some dirt off and had a 1948 Good Luck token.
Not ten feet away got a 83 hit, thinking memorial this time. Flipped a plug and this time old copper, 1806 Draped Bust.
One of my better looking old coppers and I hit it with the shovel?
Not much else and with the heat and the bugs we called it a day.

An interesting token measuring 38mm round, bronze “Good Luck” token with a 1948 (?) red cent offset to the left of center. The obverse reads “Good Luck/is/75%/ The/right/attitude.” The reverse reads “Good Luck” and has “Youngstown Kitchens By Mullins” on the lower rim.
Here's one for sale for $97 !!

Yeah, never saw one before this one. Mine is a 1948-D

Thanks for the info.

Cool finds and both a worth a fair amount of money! Due to the nice details on the 1806 Draped Bust Large Cent, if it cleans up pretty nice, I could see it fetching a price well into the three figures.

WoW. Love that largie!!!!!:icon_thumright:

Very nice draped bust, I wouldn't mind the shovel mark, just adds a little character

Nice job on the old LC. It looks great.

Great finds!! That LC looks like it's got a lot of detail on it- hope it cleans up well for you. Congrats!!

Great digs, I love them both, should be easy to back walk where you found the button. Laying on top it will ring like hells bells.
Congrats on some great finds!

Those are 2 outstanding finds. I never fret when someone states that the place has been hunted before. That usually means someone has cherry picked the site. Just grid-it and hit-it. I have yet to get skunked at sites that have been hit in the past. Congrats on the LC and that Good Luck coin.:occasion14:

Man that token is an unusual and very cool find, not to mention that coin, wow! Congrats. Sub 8-)

Great coin! I can easily see the fraction before cleaning:headbang:

Congrats on some great finds!

It's probably laying in the gravel driveway where we parked. Just before we quit I showed the owner what we found and I had the button then. We left 5 minutes later and then the button went missing.

Awesome LC & token, congrats!

Very well done. That LC is just plain killer! Congrats.

Very nice copper!

I'm not sure how I missed this post. I went to your profile after wondering what old DS is up to....

Nice score. I would love to find a draped bust in that condition. Cheers
