Hello all,

Well, I've been still pounding the Draped Bust Dime field pretty hard and since the dime I have found no more coins yet but lots of other stuff.........When I saw the Kirk PA colonial buckle chape this morning I immediately recognized it as something I also found yesterday.........is this buckle really from the 1770's?? :dontknow: :icon_scratch: Is it even the same thing???? Is it worth anything? :dontknow:

Just thought you'd all like to see a pic.......I'm a coin guy but I know some of you love this other "stuff" (I promise to stop throwing this type "stuff" away.....lol) so I hope you enjoy the picture!!

HH all!!

Greg

Greg,

I am sorry I didn't respond to your PM. I have been so busy lately.

Yes indeedy, that sure is a Colonial shoe buckle chape and tongue! :headbang: I have always had a thing for shoe/knee buckles and welcome them into my collection with open arms. I would take these relics over coppers all the time.

I bet you dig a King George from that site. It sure holds potential. Be very careful though when digging...a complete shoe buckle could be in the soil. :headbang:

Keep the passion high! :icon_thumleft:
