Well, I went into a bank couple miles South of me that I haven’t been to before. I approached the counter and asked if they had any half dollars. They explained they didn’t have any on them but might in the vault. Fair enough.

I asked for $90 worth if possible (that’s all I was carrying), and they explained that in the vault they found thousands of them, all in CWR. Obviously I bought $90 worth and said I’d be back.

Went to my car, opened up the first roll and was shocked to find three 40%ers in that roll alone.

Here are my finds from 9 rolls.

1 1965
3 1966
3 1967
3 1968 D’s
1 1969 D

I think I might go back to get some more... ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1537481685.343776.webp

Nice job. Nice reward. Congrats

Don’t walk, but run back to this bank!

YES! BUY THEM ALL! and let us see the results!

I would be back at that bank so fast I might break my neck turning around.

leave skid marks back there

Go back as fast as you can. Yesterday morning, right at opening time, I went into a bank and asked for the usual. She said lots of big dollars but in the vault and she can't get into the vault at the moment. That was about 9:30 AM and I went back at 1:30 PM and asked the same teller. She said someone already bought them all. But, come back in two weeks they always order $1000 in IKES and it takes two weeks to get.

In the last few weeks I have been able to get $350 IKES from them and not one was a keeper so I just may not waste my time again.

UPDATE:

Went back the next day, bought the remaining $950 of the half dollars. $500 of those were marked and had been searched. No luck. In the remaining 450, I found 11 more 40% halves.

Total from this bank:

22 40%ers in (essentially) 540 dollars worth of rolls

Those were still good numbers to find. If you didn't, somebody else would have, congrats.
