Just sitting here daydreaming about places I would LOVE to explore, dig and play in the dirt.

if there were NO rules or restrictions...where would you go and do yer dig?

I immediately thought of a place I have visited but couldn't detect...Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Your turn...

I'd go to South America, up into the Andes and pillage Inca sites for gold masks!

I stay outta my wifes purse, I jumped a rabbit in there the last time I went exploring...

If anywhere means anywhere, I'd go to Settlers Cemetery in uptown Charlotte. I don't
mean I'd go digging up graves, but I'd love to be able to dig down about the first 6 or
8 inches. I'd find a billion screw off wine bottle lids and twice as many pull tabs. But
once I got it cleaned out it'd probably be pretty cool. I've often thought of getting me
a hard hat and a reflective vest and just go in and start swinging. I bet you I could get
away with it. I know, I'm awful. But I look at it this way, every street person in Charlotte
sleeps in there, leave wine bottles, make a general mess of everything.
I'd be cleaning up their mess.

One can rationalize about anything they put their mind to,

Mine would be any of the civil war sites down in the southern park of the U.S.

The Sunken Road -- Antietam (Sharpsburg). I can't imagine the feeling of finding relics from the Irish Brigade.

Remember, there was a time when the fans could run out onto the field after a game. How many games over how many years, can you imagine how much older coinage and other things you could find there

I would hunt the Battle of Honey Hill site, because it's only one mile from my house. :)

Well I would like to MD:
1. Öland and Gotland both Swedish islands that where more or less viking strong holds, in reality you can't even own a detector if you live there. (according to law)

2. Malborg, Poland Who would not like to MD Teutonic Knights stronghold?

Good Hunting!
Eu ;D
