I thought I had one but it was something else. Molly rules for ID'ing stuff here in NC.

Re: Drills.........let's see them

Nice drills guys and girls.

Here's a few of mine. I don't pictures of all of mine though.

The first pic has 5 nice Drills in the tray. Two at the top and three right under the center point.

Second pic is of 5 Drills from the same site.

Pics 3,4,5, and 6 are of individual Drills from different sites.

Pic 7 shows a really nice Drill at the bottom of the picture from a Ft Ancient village site.

Pic 8 has three nice Drills at the top center of the tray.

Pic 9 is a nice Pin Drill.

Pics 10 and 11 are Drills from the Goldcamp Ft Ancient village site.

Pic 12 has quite a few really nice Drills around the center of the tray and a few others around the outside edges of the tray.

Re: Drills.........let's see them

Thanks Molly, I appreciate the kind words. I always enjoy seeing your artifacts on here and other forums as well. If you are ever in the Portsmouth, Ohio area look me up in the phone book and you can come by and check them out first hand. I'm sure you know my name from the other forums, right.

Re: Drills.........let's see them

Re: Drills.........let's see them

Man oh man-- ; and lady oh lady :D :D Great stuff ya'll.

Those get the ole blood pumping. What a great time those ancients must have had. I know, I know they died of tooth aches but lordy living then was simple.

Thank you.

Stuck in Maryland--still

Re: Drills.........let's see them

Chuck Hope we are easing your boredom at home.

Creekhunter, what you mean its not much, that frame of drills is fantastic, Any collector would be proud to own it..
I've never found any drills, which bothers me, because I favour drills over all Artifacts. I purchased the ones above, I couldn't have a collection without drills, they fascinate me, I've also had some donated to me, because my friends know how much I love them ::)

Great link Steve-Miss, gives me something to drool over later.. :D

Steve-Ohio, I would love to visit you, look & chat about your finds, Maybe we could go hunting together, that would be terrific. I'll be sure to look you up, when I'm over that way, Thankyou.. :)

Great Thread Chuck, Thankyou for posting this...

Those other drills are from Texas, here is a drill from NC, Rhyolite, looks broke but its not, its just had much use.

Molly. Good luck hunting everyone..

Re: Drills.........let's see them

Well still waiting on the mechanic. My toyota was fine until some loser cut my catalytic converter off. I replaced it and somewhere along the line there is still a problem. Not the O2 sensor I am sure of that . Anyway here is another. Made of COMPLETELY translucent knox chert. I bought it off the dude that has just found it. Thanks for everyones participation. Molly the AACA show is coming up in Ft. Mitchell in Northern KY . It is a pretty big show. You would not be dissapointed.

Another wonderful collection Atlantis. I haven't seen many double knotched points, very nice.

Chuck I don't mean to be a pain in the .... but could you take a pic of that completely Trans drill with a light behind it. I find sunlight works well. :) Can't WAIT to see it.. ::)
As for the AACA show or any other shows, once I get on the move traveling/site-seeing Ya'll be seeing a lot of me.. ::) Can't wait to meet some of you...

Molly..

Re: Drills.........let's see them

Molly all the pics that I posted yesterday and today are super old (well relatively old ) as i do not have a camera right now. I have a lot of translucent points but, no camera to show them or any of my other new finds off. The dovetail and drill that I found and posted pics of recently were taken by my buddies. The AACA is quite a show but, with gas what it is it would be tough to rationalize driving all that way.

Sixgun,
The first one you posted, is it uni-faced? It looks like it is from the pic., and where is it from?

Uni-faced? Please excuse my ignorance.lol But now that you said that I think it is. explain uni-face to me good sir and I will tell you for sure.I think I see what your saying but not for sure.I found it at a construction site at a power plant being built along Ohio river in Adams Co. Ohio. while I was digging a water line.
