Got out this AM in the drizzle in Baltimore City and had a productive three-hour hunt. Overall there were 11 wheats, with the earliest being 1918.
Best finds: 1886 Indian Head Cent (first target dug), IMG_8030.webp

1943 Ship halfpenny (hit by a mower?), IMG_8026.webpIMG_8027.webp

and an 1843 Large cent (petite head obverse and small lettering reverse - this small lettering was only used 1839-1843). IMG_8028.webpIMG_8029.webp

Thanks TheRake71. It was a good hunt. Happy hunting and good luck.

a little dazzle in the drizzal is a good thing way to go

Right you are. The deep targets are calling. Hope to get back soon.

You had a great hunt in spite of the rain! Well done!

Thanks creskol. The LC came from as area of the park that has produced a fatty Indian, a half dime, and a Victorian sterling ring, so I will keep hammering this spot.

Nice job on the old coppers! :occasion14:
