We've been digging colonial sites the last few times out but today the boys were wanting some military stuff so we went to a spot that was giving up some Confederate buttons years ago. One of the guys dug a nice Georgia coat button and I got this script I. Couldn't ask for much better condition and I didn't even have to dig for it, it was laying on top of the ground in a brick pile from one of the slave cabins we were searching. Also got a belt adjuster and a few flat buttons, I added a picture of the big fancy one :)

BEAUTIFUL find! The best condition one could hope for.

WOW. What a nice button to dig! Not only are your finds great, so are the photos. Good job. Tennessee digger

Thanks TD The camera I'm using is an old Sony Mavica, the kind that takes the 3.5" floppy discs or a memory stick. It does take a pretty good close up even though it's only 3.4 megapixels ......

Thanks Everyone, We went back to the place today and all I dug besides nails and scrap iron was 1/2 a flat button and a couple 22 shells. Not much else was found by the other guys either so I guess we're done with it, for now anyways :)

Oh my gosh that button is gorgeous. Great job!!!

That is an amazing story and so is the button.

It's in great shape. Congratulations.
