Dug Another Nice Buckle This Morning

Well, the rains finally broke, so I broke out. Hit a very early home here and came home with this sweet buckle. Any ideas as to period?

Nice susupender buckle....wild guess,mid 1800's

Ah, i wondered if it was a suspender buckle. It wouldn't surprise me if it was from the mid 1800s. I know there was activity here in the late 1700s, but i would be surprised if it was nearly that early based on style.

Interesting thing is this property once had an Indian burial mound on it.

Sounds about right to me on the buckle.
