Dug my First Civil War Button

Went out today ( up on ridge at Union encampment) and dug a Confederate Infantry coat button!
My theory ( since no known Confederate encampment around Hoyly Springs)
Was that it must have been picked up by a union soldier after the Battle of Bentonville.

My reasoning is that the units encamped where I have been finding my civil war relics had come from the battle 6 days before. Just a theory mind you....
All in all a great day for me

I believe it's a cast one piece
Could have been made in Raleigh or Fayetteville.
End of the war so lack of currency didn't help in production of uniform supplies 😕
