Dug pretty old lock, nee id please!

Hi everyone. Does anyone know what year this old looking lock was made? Dug it at a house that use to be a farm. Thanks in advance people. HH

No idea on age here, but could have been a mailbox lock maybe?

Nice brass lock, most are iron. Looks to be from the early 20th century.
