Dug up in 1955 in a garden in Cheshire. Anyone know what it is?

There are ones that have the hole low like this does. Try looking up pie whistle on google images.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I have a similar object that was dug out of garden in 50's. It is a childs toy whistle ... from England. They obviously were made in different likenesses. Mine being an English Lord, Yours may be religious eg Moses, or maybe Little Red Riding Hood. Depends on how worn it is to be able to figure out likeness. Does the whistle work on yours. It should unless something got pushed inside preventing air from passing through. A very simple device.
