1st picture is before tool work 2nd is after look closely at Qtips and you can see what has been removed it takes a lot of time and patience
Here is some type of Medallion I dug out 2 wks ago
and 2 IHP I found in removed dirt from sidewalk tear out last Thursday
both finds are being cleaned using same method
Looks like a good technique to perfect when working on something with a bit more potential value too. What I like about this method,though I’m way too impatient to play with wheats,is the different tones the coins have because of their individual makeup and where they were sitting for who knows how long. That’ll be a nice looking “real world” coin folder down the road....
Your reference to different tones and shades is also my favorite aspect of the final result of this cleaning/restoring process I have many more that I have found over the years to clean.When placed all together it resembles a work of art to me thank you all for looking and your comments
