Dumping - Self Serve VS Teller - Wearing Out Welcome?

Curious if members are more inclined to dump larger amounts and more frequently at banks with counters in lobby versus having teller run coins with counters behind counter. There are nearly 12 Wells Fargos in my area but only 3 have the counters in lobby. I have been dumping larger amounts in these as I never seem to draw any attention to myself as rarely does the counter go down when I am running thus having a worker come fix it for me, and these branches have nearly 5-6 tellers working so I am not handing my $1500-$2000 ticket to the same person. Basically, the tellers are not being tied up or inconvenienced in any way by large dumps.

I certainly do not want to overstay my welcome and, for now, am only dumping at same bank once a week. What are your views on this? If you are counting your own, are you more inclined dumping larger amounts and/or increasing frequency of dumps?

What about picking up from banks that have counters in lobby? I certainly understand not crapping where you eat, but is this the same thing? I have no reason to order at these self counter banks as I have a large amount of banks that will order for me, but have seen1 guy dump up to 2k and proceed to counter with ticket in hand and pick up boxes.

I just dumped about $3200 at 1 TD today all at the same time ($300 quarters, $100 dimes and the rest halves). I generally NEVER do this much, but the employee that was helping me with the Penny said that he actually enjoys doing it because it breaks up his day. So he told me to go out to my car and grab the bag I was going to bring to another TD... I think as long as the employees are fine with it then you aren't dumping too much. I've had 3 TD employees at different branches let me know that it's not a problem at all and converse with them the whole time I'm there. I've also had 2 employees at other branchs show me enough expressions that I knew they weren't very happy, so I rarely go to those branches.

I do a lot of halves at this point so it's very hard to not draw attention to myself. 3 of the branches no me by name when I walk through the door. I think it's all about being friendly and personable.

As for the dumping where you eat... It's hard, one of my favorite pick up banks has a customer counter in a different branch that takes $1000 in halves at a time. It would make things easier for me, but I'm not about to go there. I don't get dimes from them though and may start dumping dimes there...

i would do 2-5 bags at most on a self service. and would question either way what they are comfortable with doing, don't want to over due it. it is all up to the branch and workers. if they are busy i will walk in and walk out... i try to go early when it is very quiet...

would never pickup at a counter branch just in case of ever needing to dump there or they may think you will and not get you boxes

None of the banks around me have coin counters. My main bank gives me bags, I can put $1000 in halves in a bag and take it in. The tellers see me coming and direct me to the vault, they open it and have me carry it in for them. I generally just deposit then withdraw a few days later to go to the pickup banks. I wish I could find another bank that would allow this type of arrangement. They just send them to brinks to be counted and will charge my account should they be off.

Makes things easier on the tellers and me.

My dump bank has a lobby coin counter. I bring my receipt to the teller and she give me cash back. There machine does not use bags but a big rolling bin. All coins get mixed together. The bin is about two foot cube. Occasionally my dump will top it off. They just roll out the full bin and replace it with an empty. I never have any problem bringing my receipt to the teller.
