Dumpster Diving, Where to start?

Just noticed, my three local 7-11 stores have put locks on their dumpsters. Getting tougher every day.

Just wanted to mention the following:
A) I worked at dunkin donuts and I used to take the leftover donuts to the local zoo to feed the black bears. Not much funnier than seein a black bear with a ring from a white powdered donut around his mouth.
B) The best dumpster diving is college town diving. Hands down. I have three large schools locally and students throw away ALL KINDS of stuff

I saw a produce manager at my local chain grocery store with a shopping cart full pretty good looking leafy veggies and asked the same question.

No can do they have to be thrown away.

I work at a grocery store and every morning I see a shopping cart or two full of cakes, pies, and other baked goods just sitting outside our trash chute.. just waiting to be scanned out and tossed. Heart breaking.
