Yea I have been having good bubbling going on. Gonna plug back up as soon as we get home. We found some unknown coins today and canāt see a thing on them. Vinegar dip or careful electrolysis?
Hard to say, itās got an agricultural kind of look to it. Iāll have to look around.
Definitely make sure the negative post is placed in a ācleanerā area, then the positive looks good. If you see some good bubbling action youāll be good. Soon youāll start getting the nasty froth on the top of the water
Hey question if you donāt mind....ok so all the rust and yuck gets removed from the relic and kind of attracts to the anode. Once thatās pretty yuck, Iāve noticed less bubbling. Tried scraping with a wire brush but still no good. Does that scrap piece just need to be replaced when it gets to that point?
If itās to the point of the anode where you get no bubbling or very little you need to replace it. Iāve had to do it two to three times depending on how bad the item I was trying to clean was
View attachment 1789608 Ok yea this one has gotten pretty yuck and thereās no bubble action.
View attachment 1789609 This one, Iāve been able to move my object further down the line of my anode to a cleaner section and itās still been doing good. But the first one, I have no more clean area besides whatās hanging out the jar to connect my positive to. Looks like we just need to stock up on my scrap stuff. Lots of stuff to clean lol
Yeah youāll just have to find a item that doesnāt corrode as bad. I hated to use stainless spoons but it worked better for me
Weāre just using a small steel bar. Iām currently looking at flashing to cover more surface area. Is galvanized steel or aluminum ok to use? Thatās all Iām seeing at our hardware store.
Anything steel will work. Not sure on galvanized. Iāve used a old screwdriver, and just used my grinder with wire brush to clean off the old crud from using it during electrolysis
