Eagle belt plate from below a eagles nest

Took the canoe out and explored some new stretch of waterway. Found an SLQ and a merc at two different locations. Location number 3 was below an eagles perch or nest. Couldnt see the nest but it was probably there or nearby. It was really squawking about the same time I was digging a really good signal in the rocky sand. Couldnt believe my eyes when my first eagle plate appeared. No idea yet on its age or if its a repro. Its 3” x 2”. Any help appreciated
