I havent done a lot of research on these but what i did was not fruitful. picture number two is the one i am working on, came from under slab in tampa, dry white powder sand, there was a wooden handle under the platter apparently, and the little receptacles held oil and wick i guess, a multiple brighter light. fort period but thats a century, say 1830-50, found seated dime in same place that age. i hope to one day tackle this project. any suggestions welcome, the attaching of the metal that is broken after cleaning is what i am thinking about. is very fragile as are all the flambeaus i have come across. first pix is of another lamp from victorian era i think, many times were outdoor lamps lining driveways and paths.
