Early colonial buckle streak continues with a spectacle variety this time

Short water hunt tonight from where my most recent cob came from. Found a few toasted indians. They never hold up in the water. Also got a homemade fishing sinker. Love finding those. Only two colonial finds but they were nice ones. A large leather ornament I think but never found or seen this variety before and only my fifth ever complete spectacle buckle. This one is identical to the one from across the river from last year

The leather mount is later than your others. Circa mid 19th C.

Thanks. I know these are supposed to date mid 17th century or earlier but I feel pretty confident they were in use here until at least 1720 or so so they could turn up on any 18th century site I guess
