Early Confederate Christmas Present

[pwcguy]

I went hunting with a friend behind his house. I've hunted this spot several time over the past couple years and had ok luck finding some bullets and some coins. Today was different. I wasn't having much luck so I decided to try and find a small set of entrenchments that we hunted a few years ago. I didn't find them but I did stumble on a sandy knoll that produced 2 flat buttons 3 eagle buttons and a nice Confederate wreath buckle.
Of course that's when the thunder storms roll through. I hunted for the tongue as long as I could. But, the storm was getting angry and I had a half mile to go for shelter.
