Detecting can certainly be an adventure, yesterday we went to a spot that should have produced many items and we basically found found nothing at all, then today my wife comes home from work and says my friend at work has an old house and says you can detect there so i had about 1 1/2 hours left till it got dark and we go there and its a house 150+ years old and they told me there was an old stage stop and store in the woods they showed me where the cellar holes were and within 2 min. of putting my coil down the finds kept coming :)... here a few of them!!

2 king george coppers i think no dates
1 draped bust large cent i think its 1801
1 1825 LC
1 1848 LC
1857 seated qtr "damaged"
1853-O arrows seated dime XF shape

some cool relics.... small powder flask and silver thimble with hall marks!!

Awesome JD, you have really got some great detecting sites! HH, Mike

Nice finds JD, I always like seeing what you find. Hope you keep showing us those great digs.

Hi JD, your posts and finds are genuine! I remember it was me that compared the gold emerald ring to the Spanish 1715 fleet ring finds and I still believe it is of that origin. HH, Mike

Jd this is simple. I will go along and witness the finds while hunting with you. 8) 8) Then they can question my integrity and I will be glad to tell them where to stuff it. ;D Some people need to do more hunting and less scrutinizing of posts.

Say no more...nuff said. What needs to be remembered is that JD most likely posts dozens of finds on many websites every day (we should all be so lucky). This type of mistake would be almost common for a poster of that quantity...and quality.

Keep them posts coming and to JD I say "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" ;D ;D ;D

JD,
I am so looking forward to finally meeting you at the hunt in Missouri. I wish people would stop trying to find fault with other people and just enjoy the stories and the pictures of the items found. I believe you have a gift of being very good at detecting. This is a gift that not everyone has and it doesn't matter how much you pay for your detector or how many detectors you have. This gift or ability you have allows you to find the great treasures that you do and also the great sites that you hunt. Don't worry about what other people say or post, there are a lot of us on here that that love your posts and wouldn't even consider them being made up. I understand when you are excited about what you find and then to sit down in front of the computer to tell everyone there is always the possibility to make mistakes typing up the details. There are times I go out and change my posts 3 or 4 times just to get it to sound right.

Good luck on all your hunts and keep them posts and pictures coming.

JD I Love your posts and pictures please keep them comming. I am a green eyed monster But they are the real deal ;). We all look forward to your continued posts. Keep that big smile :) lit up forever!

JD,

Looking forward to meeting you in a couple of weeks too. Forget explaining yourself. It is not worth it. Your posts are great and I think the stories are wonderful. But please...post the capped bust and gold coin!! I want to see them. Anyways, you are a great detectorist. Keep up the good work. And see you soon

i saw this post this morning but didnt have time to post until now. incredible stuff as usual JD! thanks for posting it!

........ Sure, JD's finds do some unbelieavable to many who don't have access to those kinds of hunting sites on a regular basis.

You say that you can't believe someone finding that many seated coins in a week.... Well I hunted a couple of times with him and watched him dig 2 BUST coins in one day. He has prime locations to hunt that many of us can't imagine. I've also seen many of his better finds in person. They are definately dug coins. Green, cruddy copper coins, silver coins with dirt still no them in some spots, etc.

Well done Jeff!!!!!!!....and for you JD...Excellent Job!!....I can tell from your post that you do alot of research...Keep up the good work....EVEN IF IT IS "SPUR OF THE MOMENT"....Come On!!!!!!!!!!

JD-I just want to congradulate you on some great finds. Goes to show what some serious research can accomplish. Keep those pics. coming.MM2
