I haven't posted here for a while, but got out a couple of times last week and thought I'd share. I hit a couple of spots door knocking and had some success. Most of my detecting is on private property although I love the woods and do enjoy an old park on occasion. Managed to get some silver including a Barber quarter. I always like finding silver quarters and the older the better. Barbers are nice. It came out of the same hole as the 1918 Merc. Actually when I finished squaring off the plug they were both sitting on my shovel. Double checked the hole and there was also a wheatie in with them. Probably where the spot came from on the Barber. I love finding coppers, but the KG II's don't excite me like they once did. Still nice to find them. Only one had a readable date, 1730. Found a small crotal bell, more like a sleigh bell to me and then a nicer, larger one at a different site. The RKO Mayfair token is pretty neat. The reverse says "See American Madness". a very popular film released in 1932. Found a few other old items including a valve stem from a 20's or 30's Ford. At first when I found these valve stems I thought they were handles for small screw drivers. I don't know how many I threw in the trash. Last, but not least, found a few Indians at a few different sites and a V nickel. Thanks for looking. HH.
