Early Florida maps, shipwrecks, &

The early maps didn't have GPS so they are way off on size. The coast could be 300 yards off either way or even more. The early maps only give us a close place where the ships went down. A lot of the 1715 fleet coins were found behind the sand dunes so there maybe more further inland...

how about the 1728 dutch mao by Gerard Van Keulen ? hint look off the St Augustine area * for Ao 1715 ….

These are awesome! Thank you all for maps, links and comments. Info overload. I don't know where to begin.

This guy was map maker to King George the 3rd. Made many maps of Florida and up the coast to Canada, very detailed for their time.
Thomas Jefferys 1719 – 1771. He also worked with Captain James Cook another great map maker.
There is a map of the Western Caribbean of what was British Honduras made by Jefferys though i am not certain, which has a wreck marked on the coast for those interested in the fate of the lost ships of the Terra Firma Fleet of 1605.

That would be a dream to be able to just look for those wrecks nice of you to share the maps. Tommy
