The weather finally broke for the good today, Me, Randy aka treasurehound, Larry, and Mark went to a site that Larry had got us permission to hunt, I went to a spot in the woods where I had found a bullet in the past and concentrated on that small area, I found some fired and dropped bullets, some horse shoe frags, and most of a spur, any info on the spur would be helpful, as Randy stated in his post a man and young boy came walking thru the woods, I gave him a couple of newer bullets I had dug and took him over to a log that I had my good stuff on to show him, well he was pretty smart for 3 years old, he reached down and snagged one of my spencers lol, oh well if I'm going to lose one, I guess thats the best way. It was a great day with some good friends.

That was fun as always Guy. That spur is nice. Congrats again on the lead and spur. And I believe you found a burnside cartridge also.

really nice stuff

what part of east tenn. are you guys in? i'm up in the mcminn/monroe county area so if your ever in the neighborhood give a shout

wow nice finds. :hello2: :headbang:

Guy, you fellas had a good day. That's a nice spur. You recovered some good carbine bullets too. Is that a U.S. Camp or have you found Enfields and .69 round balls there? Sorry the kid got your best bullets and I hope he doesn't tell everybody and their brother about your site. It was a good day to hunt in Tennessee yesterday for sure. HH, Quindy.

I agree Quindy. Unfortunately, these days it's hard to trust anyone. We have both been burned like that from people that are still posting here!

Nice finds Guy. Great spur :icon_thumleft:

The man and his son were neighbors of the property owner. I don't believe they are going to be telling a lot of people about this site out of respect to her. I totally agree about trusting people. One of the reasons I like to hunt with you and Guy. It is so bad now days that you can't even take pictures of where you are hunting because of the nighthawkers and tresspassers now days.

Some great CW relics there TNR.
Congrats and I'm sure you made that kids day. At least until he gets home and gets on his video games. :tongue3:

Those kids have a good eye, haha. I have lost many relics when digging yards to them. Take a picture of the hole but never the scenenry. Artifacts is even worse than relics.
Nice hunt and hope you continue in your success!
