EASTER SUNDAY WATER HUNT

Got in a five hour hunt today with Bigmike and his brother in law...targets were pretty scarce but the water was crystal clear, calm and 74 degrees....I got two rings...a junker and a silver with a purple stone...Bigmike hit the mother of all coin spills in chest deep water...155 coins and he left some...estimated 75 in one scoop...his brother in law dug 20 or 30 more from the same hole after Mike quit...mostly pennies and all in one hole, not scattered...we haven't come up with a good theory as to how or why they were there...only our second water hunt of the year but we plan to start hitting it more often now...good luck to everyone.

Oh... and here is your theory help...

It may be what I call a "settle spot"... This is where the current and the powers that be will steer various items.

Currents can "sort" weights / coins / etc... into neat spots.
I have seen this both in water and in wet.

Strange sounding I know... but true... These things do happen.

Yeah, that was crazy...we found 22 presidential dollar coins there one day last year...but they were scattered over a big area...these were in one pile.

CZ21...10 1/2" coil.

They were all new coins just put there recently....maybe someone put them there for a detectorist to find...some people think we are looking for coins and feel sorry for us.
