Ebay Listing Accountability Thread

Good job on the sales DieselRam. I have submitted lowballs also. :laughing7: Don't worry about your shop. It's not that bad. :laughing7:

I am still looking for a bid on that phone. 11 watchers, and no bid.

Probably the bids will come right at the end of the auction. With 11 watchers someone is going to bid.

I hope so. I've got 14 on the cash box as well. It already has a bid, so I'm hoping that it will go up.

It should what time of day do you have them ending at?

Tomorrow night. I think about 8 or 9 central time.

That's a great time to have last minute bids.

End of the month time for a report. I sold 46 items in March & beat my dollar sales amount goal by about 35%. Might be time to bump the goal a little higher. Problem with that is it depends on finding good stuff to sell.

It's pretty easy to see how one could make this into a full time deal.

For CRH, I kept a lot of them.. at least one of every major error or variety (WAMs, 88 with reverse of 89, etc) but did sell a lot.
War nickels I sold a lot of, wheats, pre-60 nickels, some errors (sets of 10 different minor - moderate ones and some singles-- got $20 for a rotated die jefferson).

March ended with a bang... 35 sales in the last week of March! Broke $2k gross

April is starting well... 4 or 5 sales today. Every month starts and ends well.... paycheck timing maybe?

I used to be a plumbing & general contractor. Then I managed the rental properties I accumulated by buying crap houses & fixing them up when I was a contractor. While I was doing that I was also a part time realtor. Got tired of dealing with tenants & the slump in '08 made me realize I didn't like being a real estate sales agent. Sold all but one rental & paid off all my debt. I did partial owner financing on some properties & the payments cover food, utilities, & beer. Selling online & at the local antique mall is the only active gig I've got going on. I don't make near the money I did when I was a plumber....but I've only worked part time since I hit 42 almost 12 years ago, my knees & back don't hurt as much as they used to, & I don't hate getting up in the morning.

trdhrdr, you were on CCF too. Right?

8 sales so far for April... good start! Been listing 4 or 5 a day for the last few days too to try and stay close to 200.

I'm on CCF mainly as a collector. I'll buy/sell a collection every once in a while but that's really a tough business. Profit margins are fairly low on junk silver & collections with more numismatic coins are few & far between.

Sold 4 items on eBay yesterday. Prepped a bunch of drafts for this weekends auctions. Will probably list a couple this morning & hit some thrifts before lunch.

That's really interesting! What was the worst part of being a real estate agent? Any problem collecting the payments from the houses?

Sales for tonight.

$175.00 payphone (not the one that was supposed to bid up)
$20.00 lures
$119.10 payphone cash box (bid up from $65.00)
$65.00 phone (11 watchers, but found a crack and updated listing. Bid at last minute)

I'm pretty proud of that.

Nice work bassmaster! I've got 60 scheduled to start at auction Sunday night, hope to make it 100 if I have time to list tomorrow. I've been busy buying the last few weeks, so it feels good to be in the selling mode again. Keep up the good work everyone. And always keep searching!

Well done Bassmaster!!

Bdsawyer, that's a ton of auctions you have scheduled. How come your starting them Sunday night as opposed to Friday night?

My junk drawer lot sold for a whopping $2.25!!!! I'm rich! Lol! I may try another one sometime just to get rid of crap, but I don't think these junk drawer lots produce the traffic or the interest required to get good bids.

Up to 10 sales for the month. One of those isn't over yet though.. but getting some good action on it. A bunch of lego mini figures. Figured it would be a good one for an auction, which I rarely do now.

Also opened an amazon selling profile last night for FBA. Should be an interesting journey
