EBAY: Shotgun Rolls...

Does anybody have any experience with these? Are they just rerolled coins with enders strategically placed to get people to bid on them? I saw one seller that seemed to have an awful lot of wheat penny rolls with mercury dime enders. Was that a common thing? Anyways some information on the legitimacy of these auctions would be appreciated.

Do you mean UNSEARCHED shotgun rolls? IMO On eBay, they are unsearched by the seller, but searched by his buddies. Any clown can buy a professional coin rolling machine ($400+), some old coin wrappers, and a bucket of old wheaties. Be sure to stick a valuable wheatie in every 10th (or 100th) roll, and you will get some nice feedback. YMMV
