At the last day of 2011 I bought a 100$ box of CWR nickels.
Did not expect much, but...
First, pops up a solid roll of US nickels. Well, what can I say to that surprise Seem like teller don't care much about US coinage here.
Pulled 1958D, 1963D and a 2009P out of it.
Also managed to find: 1959, 1961, 1968AU hole filler, 1980, 1982 CU-NI hole filler, 1989AU, 1991 semi key date, 1947 Jefferson and 1983P possibly error.
As a nice gift: 2 dimes in one roll
Bullion: 1,3 lb of pure nickel. 6,5%<- getting lower and lower

I don't think tellers here differentiate from Canadian and American coins. Haven't you read my post where I got the multiple solid american nickel rolls. American coins in Canada are found in abundance compared to finding Canadian coins in America. It's always nice to find coins needed for the folder, how many spots do you have left to fill? You didn't find any Kings in that batch? That wouldn't be a very good box for me.

Did not find even one King George VI nickel. That was definitely not the best box I found.
I still have to find all the tombac issues, all 1922-1939 (except of 1928, 1930, 1932), 1946 6 over 6, 1947 no maple leaf, 1948, 1951 non- commemorative, 1953 nsf, nsf far, sf far, 1964 ewl, 1984 in better shape (MS60 and higher).
Are you collecting a nickel set? What is your progress?

P.S: Have you ever came across 1996 attached jewel? Will post a pic later.

I am not near the border, but most coin machines have magnets that pull out canadian/magnetic coinage. I am sure big coin processing facilities somewhat cull out the magnetic coins too, though we do get canadian coins in our rolls, but never in solid rolls .
