You can't. You have a small window of time after posting to be able to edit for spelling or clarifying a thought. After that, its locked to prevent adult infants from having melt-downs and deleting everything they ever posted.

It's about deleting some passages that help preserve my privacy , etc.
That's not doable by clarification.

Message a mod about the post and what you would like redacted. They can bypass the limits and edit others posts. Maybe they'll agree, maybe theyll say
tough luck". No guarantees, just an option.

Limited on how long to edit, I think it is 10 days, some members would get angry and start wholesale deleting posts destroying threads.

If you have something you want edited in old thread send me a link and a copy of what you want edited or deleted and I will look at it for you.
